Base Salary: Up to $190k Practice: Workers’ Compensation Defense – Defense of employers, insurers, and self-insured entities in workers’ compensation claims and related litigation. Duties and Responsibilities: Defend employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims from initial investigation through hearings and appeals. Manage all aspects of case development, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Prepare for and participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and administrative hearings. Collaborate with clients, claims professionals, and partners on defense strategy and risk management. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. Core Requirements (Flexibility for Exceptional Candidates): JD and active MA bar. 2–6+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience. Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
