Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring cardiac surgery and advanced heart failure expertise with a TX or compact RN license. Details Work in a 28-bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) within a hospital setting Patient population is 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure Care for high-risk cardiac surgery patients including open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT patients Manage Swan Ganz catheters and CCO monitoring Uses Cerner/COMPASS EMR Night shift schedule from 18:45-07:15 Floating required to MICU/SICU/Medical or Cardiac Stepdown Units as needed Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA) Minimum of 1 year of experience required Preferred experience with cardiac advanced device therapy management including IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address for consideration Additional Information Deliver high-quality direct patient care as an RN, implementing evidence-based interventions aligned with clinical standards Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, evaluating outcomes and adjusting treatment as needed Administer physician and nursing orders promptly while maintaining regulatory compliance Lead discharge planning efforts, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team for safe patient transitions Navy scrub color required Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
