CNC Programmer - 3-5 Axis Programming

Job Title: CNC Programmer 3-5 Axis | Mastercam 

Location: Livermore, CA on-site

Compensation: $40.00/hr - $57.00/hr DOE

Requirements: 5+ years in CNC Programming, Mastercam, 3, 4 & 5 Axis programming, GD&T

 

About the Role:
A leading advanced manufacturing company in the Livermore area is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support high-precision machining operations. This role focuses on multi-axis (3-5 axis) programming, process development, and optimization for complex, tight-tolerance components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining
• Create setup sheets, tooling plans, and work instructions
• Prove out programs on machines and support shop floor operations
• Optimize feeds, speeds, toolpaths, and cycle times
• Troubleshoot machining and process issues
• Collaborate with machinists, engineering, and quality teams
• Support continuous improvement and production efficiency
  
   

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment
• Strong Mastercam experience (3-5 axis programming)
• Multi-axis machining experience (5-axis preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, and machining processes
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production and engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HypreMill, or Vericut
• Background in Semiconductor, Aerospace or similar high precision manufacturing
• Experience in high-mix, low volume
