Mental Health Direct Support Professional / DSP / Statesville

Job Title: Mental Health Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Statesville, NC Type: Regular Full‑time. Pay rate: $14.50 – $15.50 hourly. Sign‑on bonus: $3,000 for full‑time employees, paid according to training schedule. This role provides support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health or substance use challenges. The DSP assists clients in expressing their needs, implements services aligned with individual Centered Plans, and supports community living. Responsibilities Assist with Health and Safety Procedures. Assist with People Supported Development. Assist with Person Supported Community Life. Provide support to team members and supervisors. Assist with person‑centered plan and outcomes. Assist with medical requests. Assist with data collection and reporting. Position Requirements At least 18 years of age. Valid driver’s license. High School Diploma or GED. Physical requirements: lift 30 lbs. regularly; lift a minimum of 70 lbs.; pull a minimum of 50 lbs.; squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; stand and walk regularly; demonstrate proficiency in CPR. Vision requirements: close, distance, and peripheral vision. Pre‑employment screening: criminal background check, drug testing, education verification, and proof of employment history or references as required.
