Join our dynamic team at Mary Agnes Manor, a premier senior living community located on the beautiful and historic D'Youville Campus in Buffalo, NY. As our new Activity Director, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and engaging environment for our residents.

About the Role:

As an Activity Director at Mary Agnes Manor, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a diverse range of recreational programs and activities that cater to the interests and needs of our residents. This includes planning and coordinating daily activities, events, and outings that promote socialization, wellness, and overall quality of life. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that our programs align with the values and mission of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that meets the needs and interests of our residents

• Plan and coordinate daily activities, events, and outings that promote socialization, wellness, and overall quality of life

• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that our programs align with the values and mission of our organization

• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of community among our residents

• Manage and maintain activity supplies, materials, and equipment

• Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activities and events

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our activity program, making adjustments as needed

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in a senior living or related field (training and education will be provided)

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. gerontology, recreation therapy, etc.) a plus

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
