Guidewire Integration DeveloperThe Guidewire Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing seamless integrations between Guidewire InsuranceSuite PolicyCenter and other internal and external systems. This role involves working with APIs, web services, and middleware to ensure efficient and scalable data exchange aligned with business and technical requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesIntegration DevelopmentDesign and implement integrations between Guidewire InsuranceSuite and third party applications such as payment systems, data warehouses, and document management systemsDevelop custom integration components using Guidewire Cloud APIs, REST Api IG app, and messaging frameworks which include APP EventsConfigure messaging patterns such as point-to-point, pub sub, and event driven integrationsMiddleware and System DesignWork with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Apache Camel, or similar technologies to manage data exchangeDesign robust and reusable integration templates that support enterprise architectureOptimize integration pipelines for performance, scalability, and error handlingCollaboration with TeamsCollaborate with business analysts and architects to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical designsCoordinate with development teams and QA engineers to ensure smooth data flow between systemsWork closely with stakeholders during user acceptance testing UAT to resolve issues and refine integrationsData Mapping and TransformationDefine data mapping rules and transformations to ensure seamless interoperability between systemsHandle data enrichment and validation processes within integration componentsSystem Monitoring and TroubleshootingMonitor the performance of integrations and resolve any issues or bottlenecksTroubleshoot and debug integration failures and errors in production environmentsEnsure error logging and notification mechanisms are in placeDocumentation and StandardsMaintain comprehensive documentation for all integrations including design specifications, API details, and data flow diagramsAdhere to development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices in integration designConduct knowledge sharing sessions and mentor junior developers on integration practicesUpgrades and EnhancementsAssist in upgrading Guidewire modules and ensure compatibility with existing integrationsImplement enhancements to improve integration efficiency and meet evolving business needsQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldExperience3 years of experience in developing integrations within Guidewire InsuranceSuite focusing on PolicyCenterProven expertise in building and deploying enterprise scale integrationsTechnical SkillsProficiency in Java, Gosu, and Guidewire APIsStrong experience with RESTFul services, IG App Cloud API, AppEvents, and Apache CamelSolid understanding of Guidewire data models, plugins, and messaging mechanismsHands-on experience with XML, JSON, and data transformation toolsProficiency in SQL and working with relational databases like Oracle or SQL ServerFamiliarity with DevOps tools and processes including CICD pipelines and version control systems eg GitSoft SkillsStrong problem solving and debugging skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilities to engage with both technical and business stakeholdersAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast paced environmentCertifications MandatoryGuidewire Associate CertifiedCertification PreferredACE certified in Integrations
