Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care, providing rapid assessment, triage support, and evidence-based interventions for patients with acute needs. Delivers compassionate, high-quality nursing care while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize and route patients appropriately.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients promptly and document vital signs, symptoms, and nursing observations in real time.
• Perform triage support and implement individualized care plans based on acuity and physician direction.
• Administer medications and monitor patient response, side effects, and treatment effectiveness.
• Support emergency procedures by preparing patients, assisting with bedside interventions, and maintaining safety standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, handoff reports, and care continuity across shifts and teams.
• Collaborate with physicians and allied staff to coordinate diagnostic testing and appropriate disposition steps.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the required jurisdiction.
• Maintain current BLS certification; achieve and maintain ACLS as required for Emergency Room practice.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills for acute and rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Possess proven experience in emergency or acute-care settings with exposure to high-acuity workflows.
• Exhibit proficiency in medication administration, infection control practices, and patient safety protocols.
• Demonstrate effective communication, critical thinking, and calm decision-making under pressure.
