Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular/Interventional Laboratory Technician plays a vital role in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the cath lab. The technician supports physicians during complex interventional procedures and ensures patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterizations, angiographies, and peripheral angioplasty procedures.
• Operate and monitor advanced imaging and diagnostic equipment used in interventional cardiology.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and procedural instruments in compliance with safety standards.
• Document procedural details accurately in the electronic medical records system.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of cath lab experience, demonstrating hands-on procedural competency.
• Possess current BLS (AHA), RCIS, and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
• Exhibit proficiency in operating cath lab equipment and emergency response procedures.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Maintain active and valid clinical credentials as required by state and facility policies.
