Alexa for Shopping makes it easy for customers to find and discover products by helping with product research, providing comparisons and recommendations, answering specific product questions, and more. As a UX designer on this fast-moving project, you'll help shape the future of this high-impact product, which benefits from extensive customer research and behavioral data, and a rapid launch cadence. You’ll collaborate closely with a diverse, cross-functional team of designers, researchers, writers, engineers, and product managers to deliver best‑in‑class experiences. This role requires both big‑picture vision and meticulous attention to detail as you bring our bold product roadmap to life for hundreds of millions of customers world‑wide. Key job responsibilities Partner closely with product and research to define a shared vision, grounded in deep customer data analysis. Rapidly produce flows, wireframes, design prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interactions. Advocate for design excellence, raising the bar for quality. Develop and maintain detailed UI specifications while meeting accessibility standards. Present and defend design recommendations to stakeholders and leadership for review, feedback, and approval. Work with technology teams to build efficiently, without compromising core experience principles. Continually learn and grow your skills in design craft, generative AI, and emerging technologies. A day in the life Partner cross-functionally with research and product to deeply understand customer needs and translate them into strategic, user‑centered experiences. Develop visually compelling visual design solutions that work for UI, PR, and marketing channels Collaborate with designers across the Alexa for Shopping and broader Shopping teams. Leverage strong design and business acumen to transform conceptual ideas into exceptional, scalable solutions. Create a variety of design artifacts (e.g., wireframes, prototypes, videos) to test, evangelise, and deliver your ideas. Learn and grow through hands‑on work with our Leads and Principals, and a dedicated mentor paired with you from day one. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
