Mobile Device Software Quality Engineer at Ektello Rate: $27.00 /hr. W2 Duration: 6+ month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability) Location: Plano, TX - Onsite Role Summary We're seeking a detail-oriented Mobile Device Software Tester to ensure our smartphones and tablets deliver flawless performance, usability, and reliability across diverse networks, OS, and hardware. You'll execute test cases, identify & document defects, and collaborate closely with R&D/QA to guarantee a stable, optimized user experience before product launch. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and performance tests for mobile apps & features. Identify, log, and track software defects, performance issues, and inconsistencies. Analyze test results and provide clear, detailed reports to development teams. Validate firmware, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G connectivity, and hardware interactions. Perform manual and automated testing across the entire software lifecycle (design, development, release, maintenance). Collaborate with developers, R&D, and cross-functional teams. Requirements & Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science or related field. 3+ years in mobile software/QA testing; 1+ year in software development/debugging. Fluent in English & Korean (written & spoken). Strong understanding of Android OS and mobile ecosystems. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Ability to work in an agile environment with minimal supervision. Strong teamwork, time-management, and documentation skills. Bonus Skills Experience with mobile test tools (ADB, Xcode, Appium, Jira, TestRail). Experience with software or robotic automation testing.
