Lead the Transformation at Prysmian — Taunton, MA

Picture your morning starting on the production floor: a Gemba walk with supervisors, checking daily management boards, reviewing safety, quality, delivery, and cost signals. By mid-morning, you’re in a catchball session with the Plant Director, translating strategy into a site-wide Hoshin Kanri roadmap. In the afternoon, you facilitate a focused Kaizen on constraint removal in a high-revenue value stream, then coach team leaders on standard work and visual systems to lock in the gains. You close your day validating hard, trackable results—not activity metrics.

Reporting to the Plant Director, the Lean Transformation Leader drives continuous improvement through the Prysmian Performance System (PPS) and modern Kaizen methodologies. Your mandate is to build a scalable culture of problem solving and operational excellence that elevates safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across the site.

• Design and lead a site-wide Lean roadmap aligned to business strategy (Hoshin Kanri).
• Partner directly with the Site Director and leadership team to prioritize the highest-impact opportunities.
• Achieve measurable outcomes across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth (SQDCG).
• Facilitate high-impact Kaizen focused on flow, pull, constraint removal, and cost transformation.
• Target high-volume, high-revenue value streams where results matter most.
• Institutionalize sustainability through standard work, daily management, visual systems, and accountability.
• Develop operators, supervisors, and leaders into capable problem solvers; create a pipeline of future Lean leaders.

• You’ll influence what gets done—and what doesn’t—based on expected business impact.
• Your success is measured by real, verified results (cost, throughput, lead time), not activity counts.
• You’ll embed Lean thinking into daily decisions, not one-off events.

You’re more than certified—you deliver results.

• Experienced Lean Black Belt / CI Leader in manufacturing with a proven record of measurable improvements.
• Deep mastery of: Value Stream Transformation; Flow and Pull Systems; Hoshin Kanri; SMED; TPM; Standard Work; Daily Management and Visual Systems.
• Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority and drive behavior change at all levels.
• Bias for impact over activity; rigorous follow-through on hard metrics.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial engineering strongly preferred).
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing setting leading Kaizen and Continuous Improvement.
• Proficiency with Gemba Kaizen, Value Stream Analysis, Visual & Daily Management, Hoshin Kanri, SMED, TPM, Standard Work Development, and 3P layout.
• Strong facilitation of Kaizen events and talent-spotting for Lean-minded contributors.
• Demonstrated success in cost reduction and process flow improvement.
• Hands-on with tools such as 3P, TAKT Time, Standard Work Combination Sheets, Standard WIP, and Kaizen Newspaper.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership and strategic input as part of a site leadership team.

• Lean Master on TPS or Danaher Business System certification.
• Project management experience with on-time delivery or proactive course correction.
• Agile certification (e.g., SCALE).
• Change leadership (e.g., PROSCI).
• Strong analytical toolkit: SPC, hypothesis testing, regression, correlation analysis.
• Problem-solving: 5-Whys, 8D, Shainin, etc.

Base compensation: $100,000–$130,000. Worksite: Taunton, MA.
