Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable On-Call Cook to prepare high-quality meals in a safe and efficient kitchen environment. While this is an on-call position, employees can expect to work up to 40 hours per week based on operational needs. Candidates with open availability are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and portion control standards are maintained.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products.
• Support kitchen team members during peak service periods.

Essential Skills

• Previous cooking or kitchen experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals in a timely manner.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment

This position offers up to 40 hours per week on an on-call basis. Open availability is strongly preferred, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional hours may be offered based on business demands. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryville, MO.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Maryville,MO.
