HCA Florida JFK Hospital is a Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center. We are a certified Ventricular Assist Device program. We are an American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is an American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accredited Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. We offer two off-site ERs in Palm Beach Gardens and West Boynton Beach. They provide the same emergency treatment for adults and children. We are located in the city of Atlantis. We are near the coastal cities of Lake Worth and Boynton Beach. We invite you to join a dynamic team of clinical Job Summary The CT Technician works in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting performing a variety of CT Scan imaging procedures used to diagnose medical conditions. You will operate the CT scan equipment to produce quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients.You will obtain consent, prepare patients, and explain the procedure to them. The patient population may range from newborn to geriatric. Job Responsibilities Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient Determine most suitable anatomical posture/position and shield patients accordingly Collaborate with physicians and other Imaging staff as needed Practice aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures Work within the CT Tech scope of practice according to policy and procedures Follow all general infection control measures and those specific to the CT scan department Complete required documentation accurately immediately after completing each case Job Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging One year of experience in performing CT preferred Florida State DOH General Radiographer and ARRT CT Registry or registry eligible and acquire within six months of hire WILL CONSIDER A SEASONED X-RAY TECH TO TRAIN TO CT TECH- MIN SALARY
