Registered Nurse - Occupational Medicine

Our client is seeking a Certified Occupational Health Nurse to work Monday through Thursday, 7am-3pm at their location in Rensselaer, NY. Job Duties Medical Records Quality review for accuracy, completeness and compliance to regulations and company requirements Ability to function independently Coordinate records corrections Analyze trends related to errors and discrepancies Data entry into the information management system (eg.: Medical Examination forms) Evaluation of workplace injuries within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical nursing guidelines. Direct referrals when warranted. Identify, evaluate, and implement accommodations and return to work options for workers with restricted duty. Injury case management Injury Prevention and Health Surveillance Participate in the accident investigation program to identify root cause analysis of injuries and illnesses. Qualifications Preferred 3 years of nursing experience. Willing to train the right candidate. Must be able to pass a background check and be eligible to obtain a security clearance. BSN required within 5 years of start date.
