Industrial Designer

Are you an industrial designer who wants to see your concepts through to the production line — not hand them off at the render stage? This is a hands‑on design role with real ownership: you’ll take consumer products from first sketch through prototyping and into mass production, working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with our Product Executive team here in Pennsylvania and our project management and sourcing teams in China. Benefits GLOBAL EXPOSURE: Work directly with overseas manufacturing partners, engineering teams, and global supply partners PAID TIME OFF: Structured PTO policy supporting vacation and personal wellness MEDICAL BENEFITS: 100% employee medical coverage; family group rates available MENTORSHIP: Direct mentorship and hands‑on training from the CEO WORK STYLE: 100% in‑office at our Bala Cynwyd, PA headquarters OFFICE PERKS & LOCATION: Onsite fitness center (membership available for a fee), café, complimentary parking, EV charging, and more — just 15–20 minutes from Center City Philadelphia with easy access from both the city and suburbs CAREER ADVANCEMENT: Opportunity to grow with the company as Linton continues to scale Key Responsibilities Own the full new product development cycle across a diverse portfolio of consumer categories — from ideation and concept design through engineering, DFM, and prototyping Deliver industrial design work for both internal Product Executives and external clients using Rhino, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Cloud, KeyShot, and related design and rendering tools Drive the NPD process internally, taking accountability for development timelines, target costing, and prototype quality at every review gate Partner cross‑functionally with our sales team and our overseas project management and sourcing teams to keep projects moving and decisions unblocked Serve as the critical link between our China project management team and our U.S. sales team as projects transition into mass production, ensuring nothing is lost in translation Join Product Executives in client meetings and build the development decks that bring concepts, engineering trade-offs, and product direction to life for the client Lead calls with overseas manufacturers to pressure‑test product ideas, troubleshoot development issues, and review prototypes Requirements 3+ years of hands‑on industrial design experience with consumer products Demonstrated experience contributing to DFM and engineering development, not design work alone Exposure to overseas sourcing and manufacturing processes is a strong plus Strong consultative communication skills — active listening, and the ability to structure and explain sophisticated product ideas within their business context Proven ability to lead design and development processes across multicultural, multi‑time‑zone teams Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to move multiple projects forward simultaneously Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin, as this role presents, explains, strategizes, and negotiates daily with teams in the U.S. and China Must be willing and able to work onsite daily in Bala Cynwyd, PA (this is not a remote or hybrid role) A portfolio demonstrating consumer products you’ve taken from concept to production About Linton Group Linton Group ( is a rapidly growing small business based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, providing high‑quality sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain management services across industries including Sport Equipment, Electronics, Pets, Toys & Games, Garden & Home Improvement, Apparel, Home, Kitchen & Dining, and Jewelry.
