About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 10 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Arterial line management - BiPAP/CPAP management - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care/management - Isolation precautions/PPE - Management of dysrhythmias - Starting and maintaining IVs - Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Titrating cardiac drips - Titrating vasoactive drips Description: These positions will be hospital float pool staff. Staff will be expected to float throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department. The primary location for this job will be in the Emergency Room hold area. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. There is no call requirement for this position. Floating is required within the facility as needed and within the scope of practice. No block schedule requests will be considered. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant by the deadline, the start date may be pushed back by two weeks due to the orientation schedule. Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. All required documentation must be submitted before the start date. RTO must be finalized at the time of submission. No RTO or scheduling requests can be submitted post-offer or onsite. Compliance documents are due by the Tuesday prior to the start date. Modules are non-billable, hours are factored into the onboarding process and vary by specialty.
