Responsibilities Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates patient needs to resolve them proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow‑up measures, such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management. Qualifications (RN) Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse Diploma. Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course obtained within 1 year of employment start date. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 1 year of employment start date. Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support. No travel required. No experience required.
