Mechanic

The Mechanic assists with corrective requests and preventive maintenance to resolve and anticipate building systems problems. Working under close supervision, this role helps to minimize operational disruptions in the hospital and delivers service in a timely manner. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 11:00pm - 7:30am with rotating weekends. Essential Job Function Assists with the testing and repairing of equipment and orders replacement parts as needed to deliver timely service. Helps to maintain a clean and safe work area in order to minimize risks and service disruptions. Prepares documentation of work orders, reports, and estimates for management review in line with compliance guidelines. Communicates effectively with internal and external teams to make repairs and deliver correct status updates. Handles equipment inspection rounds to ensure that proper tools and equipment are being utilized to eliminate risk to staff. Coordinates the leveling, aligning, and installing of industrial machinery on foundations or base plates for servicing. Provides general painting, refinishing, and repairs of walls, ceilings, and floors. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Required: 1 year Licensure/Certification/Listing Required: Valid Driver's License (if driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management)
