Join the MasTec family and help us provide the highest level of quality service to our customers and communities while maintaining our commitment to safety!ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety procedures and use proper PPE to ensure the safety of yourself, your crew, and the publicPerform general labor duties including trenching, backfilling, job site prep, and material handlingAssist with installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable, including fiber blowing and placementSupport aerial and underground construction as directed and trainedLoad, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment between job sitesAssist with equipment and vehicle operations (trucks, trailers, and construction equipment) as directed and certifiedSupport site cleanup, basic maintenance, and overall job site organizationAssist with troubleshooting and basic repair of RF and fiber systems as neededLearn to read and interpret construction prints, maps, and design schematicsGain experience with telecom tools and equipment such as bucket trucks, line trucks, cable reels, and power toolsQualificationsSafety is part of your everyday mindsetProven track record of delivering high-quality workHands-on problem solver who enjoys tackling challenging tasksAt least 2 years of experience working outdoors, preferably in a utilities/construction environmentTeam-oriented and willing to get in the field alongside your crewLooking for long-term opportunities with consistent work and growth potentialPhysically able to lift up to 50 lbs, independently and consistentlyInterest in growing within telecom construction (fiber splicing, coax, drilling, etc.)Open to travel 7-10 day projects per diem (up to 50% within MN/WI and 50+ hours per week, depending on the weather), and working overtime consistentlyValid and current CDL A/B is requiredMOS Codes 12K, 12N,12V, 12W, 21E, 21J, 25P, 91C, 91L, 11B, 1100, 1120, 1316, 9970-9975, 0612, 2T3XX, 2E1XX, 3E2XX, 3E3XX, 9T0XX, BU, UT relate well to this position.Compensation of $21-$24 per hour, depending on the experience.Hard work pays off.
