Job Duties

• Set up, operate, and monitor encapsulation machinery following batch records, SOPs, and safety guidelines
• Ensure equipment runs efficiently and produces high-quality capsules
• Perform machine troubleshooting, adjustments, and changeovers as needed
• Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Complete equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance
• Maintain accurate documentation: batch records, production logs, and cleaning forms (GDP)
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with cGMP standards
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues promptly
• Support training for new operators and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or packaging (encapsulation experience a plus)
• Familiarity with cGMP and SOPs in regulated environments (FDA/food/pharma preferred)
• Mechanical aptitude for machine setup and minor repairs
• Basic computer skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with powders or raw materials is helpful

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
