Prep Cook

Responsibilities Make prep recipes and menu products to spec. Properly label, date, cover and refrigerate prepped items for the line. Perform opening, closing and side duties – setting up, stocking, and breaking down all kitchen equipment and prep, and line stations. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and line. Practice safety and sanitation standards. Show sense of urgency. Read orders printed on tickets or Kitchen Display System. Assemble orders – double‑check product quality and specs. Demonstrate impeccable product knowledge. Handle re‑cook, special prep, long ticket, large party and voucher group procedures. Communicate professionally with co‑workers and Front‑of‑the‑House staff. Competitive pay wage up to $15+/hr. Experience, Education & Certifications Minimum 1–2 years of experience (requirements may vary by location). High school diploma or GED equivalent. In some U.S. states a food safety certification program is required before serving food or alcohol, including a food handlers card. Skills Remain calm in a hectic, fast‑paced atmosphere. Demonstrate high level of organization, attention to detail and sense of urgency. Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward guests and co‑workers. Adhere to Hard Rock’s core values and mission statement. Physical Demands Move throughout the corporate office and cafes during visits, standing, walking, kneeling, bending for extended periods. Make repetitive arm, hand, and wrist movements. Express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear. Manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders. Move objects up to 10 pounds (lift, push, pull, balance, carry). Turn or twist body parts in circular motion. Tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud or noisy environment. Additional Requirements Maintain a well‑groomed appearance. Follow all uniform guidelines. Practice general safety and sanitation standards. Recycle products where possible.
