Whether building bridges, stabilizing shorelines, rehabilitating structures, or providing site engineering and construction solutions for solar, Walbec is your bridge to expertise in construction and engineering.With safety and ethics at the core of everything we do, our experienced professionals are hard at work on commercial and industrial sites throughout the Midwest.**The Position:** The Staff Engineer – Electrical will work with a project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to design requirements, site constraints and client preferences.Payne & Dolan is looking for a self-motivated, results-oriented, problem-solver who has a desire to be part of our growing engineering design group. Responsibilities to include:* Perform electrical design of utility-scale solar projects from the conceptual phase through design completion. This includes collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop equipment layouts, one-line diagrams, cable routing, communications systems design, grounding design, equipment selection, and equipment specifications.* Perform electrical system modeling in ETAP to evaluate cable ampacity, voltage drop, ground potential rise, and thermal performance.
