Mechanical Design Engineer

Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Design Engineering opening with an equipment manufacturer that is located in York, PA. This person will be responsible for developing new equipment as well as making alterations to existing equipment for custom and standard products.
Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position:

• Conceptional design, detail, assembly and arrangement drawings required for fabrication of conveyors, and equipment
• Design and detail all drawings, using company standards
• Develop detailed layout to check machine tolerance and ensure clearances
• Conduct and/or participate in design reviews
• Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
• Apply product knowledge and technical skills to solve application problems
• Complete assignments in allotted timeframe with no supervision
• Identify purchased materials and create purchase requisitions
• Perform calculations for motor sizing and structural integrity
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as required by management

Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates:

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline
• Proficiency using SolidWorks (sheet metal module) and SolidWorks PDM
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Experience designing complex equipment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
