Senior Wealth Strategist

About The Role The Senior Wealth Strategist serves as the primary wealth strategy expert for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and prospects (generally > $15MM net worth) with complex financial needs. This role partners closely with Wealth Management Advisors (WMAs) and the broader Private Bank team to lead discovery, develop integrated wealth strategies, and support implementation. The role contributes directly to client acquisition, retention, and overall client experience through advanced planning expertise. Your Responsibilities Client & Prospect Engagement: Partner with WMAs and Private Bank teams to acquire and retain key client relationships by delivering comprehensive wealth strategies and participating in client meetings. Client Discovery & Analysis: Develop a detailed understanding of client financial profiles, including net worth, cash flow, ownership structures, estate plans, and charitable goals. Wealth Strategy: Lead the development of customized wealth strategies across estate, income tax, gift and estate tax, investment, risk, insurance, and cash flow planning disciplines. Research & Modeling: Identify planning opportunities, research complex strategies, and review financial modeling prepared by analysts to assess potential outcomes. Client Deliverables & Oversight: Coordinate preparation and review of client deliverables and provide oversight and guidance to analysts and junior strategists, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with planning recommendations. Strategy Implementation: Present recommendations, answer client and advisor questions, and support execution of strategies in partnership with the broader team. Leadership & Talent Development: Coach and mentor Wealth Strategy Analysts and Wealth Strategists to support skill development and career growth. Business Development & Partnerships: Build referral relationships with internal partners and external centers of influence such as attorneys and CPAs. Thought Leadership & Expertise: Contribute to internal and external thought leadership and maintain knowledge of legislative, regulatory, and market developments. Risk & Compliance: Operate within the Bank’s risk framework and ensure adherence to policies and procedures while acting in the best interests of clients and colleagues. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to shifting priorities to support team and organizational objectives. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. 10+ years of experience in financial, estate, or wealth planning within a professional services or wealth management environment. Required Skills Wealth Strategy Expertise: Advanced knowledge across cash flow, income tax, gift and estate tax, investment, insurance, retirement, estate, and charitable planning. Client Advisory Skills: Strong consultative approach with excellent communication and presentation capabilities. Relationship Management: Ability to collaborate, influence, and build relationships in a team-based environment. Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess complex client scenarios and develop strategic recommendations. Business Development Support: Experience supporting client acquisition and growth initiatives. Skills For Success Qualified candidates will possess an advanced degree of proficiency (typically from 10+ years of experience), across a suite of skills including, but not limited to: Professional Credentials: JD, CPA, CFP®, or equivalent credentials preferred. Strategic Thinking: Ability to synthesize complex financial scenarios into actionable client strategies. Leadership & Coaching: Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior talent. Influence & Communication: Ability to engage effectively with clients, advisors, and senior partners. Industry & Regulatory Awareness: Ongoing commitment to staying current with legislative and regulatory developments. Compensation & Benefits Senior Wealth Strategist — Total Base Pay Range: 121,900.00 - 262,100.00 USD Annual. The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
