Hydro Power Plant Maintenance Supervisor - Telework Eligible

Position Overview This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) announcement for a Power Plant Maintenance Supervisor, WB-4701-00 in the South Atlantic Division, Savannah District, Operations Division. Duties & Responsibilities This position is responsible for the daily maintenance and operational readiness of a large‑scale, multipurpose hydroelectric power project. It directs a multidisciplinary workforce—including electricians, mechanics, and maintenance staff—to ensure the 24/7 reliability of generators, turbines, and high‑voltage switch yards. The role focuses on planning and prioritizing maintenance schedules to meet power production demands while coordinating technical repairs on complex mechanical and electrical systems. Beyond routine oversight, this position manages critical flood control operations, directs emergency responses during system failures, and enforces rigorous safety and environmental protocols to protect project infrastructure and personnel. Minimum Qualifications Screen Out Element: Ability to lead or supervise as a Power Plant Maintenance Supervisor. The candidate must have the ability to lead or supervise common power plant maintenance duties, assign work to plan the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials and tools on a day‑to‑day or project‑by‑project basis, and work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey level employee who observes tasks in‑progress and up to completion to ensure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
