Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in training, coaching, learning & development, or operational enablement.

• Proven experience developing and delivering training programs for new and existing team members.

• Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback.

• Experience creating training materials, job aids, process guides, and other learning resources.

• Ability to translate complex processes and technical information into clear, engaging training content.

• Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills.

• Experience partnering with operational leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and performance gaps.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt training approaches based on team and program needs.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in Asset Protection, security, surveillance, or retail operations environments.

• Background in quality assurance, performance coaching, or evaluating service delivery.

• Experience supporting training within a contact center, operations center, or other high-volume environment.

• Experience with train-the-trainer programs, refresher training, or continuous learning initiatives.

Job Description

A retail employer in the Cincinnati area is seeking a Training Manager to support the ongoing success and development of an Asset Protection Center of Excellence for a major grocery retail client. This role will be responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving training and coaching programs across three specialized teams: customer claims & video review, internal fraud analytics, and alarm monitoring.

The Training Manager will play a key role in ensuring team members are prepared to perform effectively and consistently by leading new-hire training, ongoing education, refresher training, and targeted coaching initiatives. This individual will partner closely with operational leadership, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders to identify learning needs, reinforce process and quality expectations, and ensure training evolves alongside program requirements.
