Certified Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant at the Medical University of South Carolina supports physicians and advanced practice providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, documenting histories in the EHR, assisting with exams and minor procedures, administering medications per protocol, and performing point-of-care testing. The CMA coordinates appointments and referrals, provides patient education, and maintains exam rooms, equipment, and infection-control standards.
