Observability Architect

I m looking for someone that will manage our overall architecture with 8+ years of monitoring experience, preferably with enterprise APM (Application Performance Monitoring) platforms such as Dynatrace or Data Dog and NPM (Network Performance Monitoring) tools such as IBM SevOne, SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, etc.

Provide hands-on technical leadership for platform reliability and scalability - Design and enforce observability patterns and standards - Lead AIOps enablement (Davis AI / causal analysis) Prevent uncontrolled log growth, alert noise, and cost overruns Ensure data models align across observability tools (Dynatrace, IBM SevOne, ServiceNow ITOM and others).

Deep expertise in designing and scaling observability platforms (Dynatrace, DataDog, IBM SevOne etc.)

Ability to define and enforce observability patterns, standards, and data models

Ability to lead observability intelligent automation and root cause analysis initiatives

Expectations for the Technical Engineer V role align to three core skill sets:

• Observability Platform Engineering & Architecture
• Deep expertise in designing and scaling observability platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, SevOne)
• Ability to define and enforce observability patterns, standards, and data models
• Strong understanding of platform reliability, scalability, and cross-tool integration
• AIOps & Advanced Analytics Enablement
• Hands-on experience with AIOps platforms and AI-driven analysis (e.g., Davis AI, causal analysis)
• Ability to lead intelligent automation and root cause analysis initiatives
• Familiarity with leveraging AI to improve operational decision-making
• Operational Optimization & Governance (Logs, Alerts, Cost Control)
• Expertise in managing observability data (logs, metrics, alerts) at scale
• Ability to reduce alert noise and prevent uncontrolled log growth
• Strong focus on cost optimization, governance, and operational efficiency

Combined minimum of 8 to 10 years higher education and/or experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture. Thorough understanding of the system development and infrastructure lifecycle and architecture, vendor best practices, IT Service Management, and systems design.

Bachelor s degree in computer science or computer engineering. Minimum 10 years professional experience in a technical engineering position involving infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design and/or development for complex applications.

Ability to translate complex business/functional requirements into structured high quality implementations using any variety of industry standard approaches. Demonstrated ability to develop alternative solutions to complex problems and recommend the best solution to the technology business, and project teams.

Advanced technical skills. Advanced analytical skills. Advanced troubleshooting skills. Advanced problem solving skills. Verifiable industry and/or vendor expertise in relative technologies.

Able to meet with clients of varying levels to gather, document, and analyze system specifications and requirements, work closely with integrators, developers, and testers in the fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in team environment.

Ability to use effective facilitation skills and techniques to elicit and review requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders and group size. Understanding of how the people, processes and technology within an organization interact in relationships and patterns to create a feasible solution on projects of medium to high complexity.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective influencing skills. Process-oriented. Logical thinker. Strong knowledge of server/client and virtual technologies. Ability to master complex tasks with minimal supervision.

Experience with project estimation and budget/planning activities. Adaptable. Able to learn quickly in a rapid pace environment.
