The program started in 2020 and has 6 residents per year. Job Duties: Clinical duties, resident teaching, and scholarly activities. Core faculty will play a significant role in the education and supervision of residents. A substantial portion of effort will be devoted to resident education and/or administration. Administrative responsibilities include resident evaluation, mentorship, and providing formative feedback. Participate on the inpatient Family Medicine teaching service at the Hospital for assigned patients. Supervise admissions, daily care, documentation, teaching rounds, and charges. Precept in the Family Medicine Clinic. Ensure high-quality patient care while teaching continuity family medicine. Maintain a personal practice in the Family Medicine Clinic and engage in scholarly activities. Teach technical skills needed for comprehensive family medicine practice and procedures. About the Program/HospitalFamily Medicine Residency clinic and headquarters are located at the East Parrish Campus, which is a 10-minute commute to the Hospital, where most of the clinical rotations will take place. On average each year, we have 16,000 inpatient admissions, deliver 2,000 babies and provide the region’s only Level III NICU. The physicians perform nearly 24,000 surgical procedures.
