Welder/FabricatorOlive Recruiting is searching for an experienced welder/fabricator for our specialized transport and heavy lift client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute precise layouts, utilizing specialized welding techniques including TIG, MIG, and plasma cutting, with experience in welding, fabricating, and fitting. Shift: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm M-F Full time, Direct Hire Responsibilities:Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layoutsUse specialized welding equipment including TIG, MIG, and Plasma cuttersFit, Fabricate and Weld components to tanks, vessels and specialized transport equipmentDevelop custom pieces based on engineering or operational needs such as ramps, connectors, stands, etcAdherence to a high level of safety standardsWeld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positionsWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipmentMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Good housekeepingWork with Team members to ensure top quality and high standards while welding on steel, aluminum and various materialsQualifications:Read blueprints and utilized those to Client out work and build productsRead and understand measurementsLayout, fit, and weld parts inside and out per the drawingsMust have TIG & MIG welding experience. Pulsed MIG is preferred.
