Compliance Manager

Tellworks Logistics is a rapidly growing third-party logistics company recognized for its speed, flexibility, and hands-on operational model. We are seeking a Compliance Officer to lead the development, implementation, and execution of compliance, risk management, and operational control frameworks across our warehouse operations.The Compliance Officer will work directly alongside operations teams to ensure that compliance controls are effectively designed, clearly understood, and consistently executed in real time.The position plays a key role in maintaining audit readiness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is achieved through close partnership with Operations, IT, and site leadership to embed compliance practices into daily warehouse execution. Primary Responsibilities Oversee and support compliance programs across multi-site warehouse operations Maintain alignment with SOC 1 & SOC 2 (Type 1 and Type 2), OSHA, and industry standards Coordinate internal audits, compliance testing, and external audit activities Identify control gaps, document findings, and drive corrective actions to resolution Maintain compliance documentation, including narratives, risk control matrices, and audit evidence Actively monitor warehouse operations (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, etc.) to ensure controls are followed Conduct real-time control testing and validate execution of operational processes Partner with operations teams to address risks and implement corrective actions immediately Oversee IT General Controls (ITGC), including access management, change management, and system monitoring Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including testing and follow-up actions Manage and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for recurring issues Monitor regulatory requirements (OSHA, labor laws, environmental standards) and ensure compliance across operations Assess operational, financial, and system risks and implement preventive and detective controls Prepare audit materials, coordinate walkthroughs, and serve as liaison between operations, IT, and external auditors Provide regular reporting on compliance status, audit findings, and key risk areas Strong, hands-on presence in warehouse operations with a “lead from the floor” mindset Ability to balance compliance requirements with operational realities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to identify risks and gaps quickly Effective communication and ability to influence cross-functional teams Proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving Ability to manage multiple priorities across sites and deadlines Willingness to travel up to 30% Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while on the warehouse floor Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, JD, or compliance-related certification preferred 8+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or audit roles Experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain environments strongly preferred Strong knowledge of SOC audits, compliance frameworks, and control testing Experience supporting multi-site and/or multi-state operations Familiarity with OSHA, labor laws, and regulatory compliance requirements Big Four or consulting experience preferred Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
