About IND: The Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders (IND) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit research institute dedicated to advancing the early detection, treatment, and prevention of neurodegenerative diseases. Our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, nurses, neuropsychologists, study coordinators, and scientists collaborates on innovative clinical and translational research focused on Parkinson's disease and related neurologic conditions.

Position Summary: IND is seeking a Senior Biostatistician, Clinical Research to provide statistical leadership across a diverse portfolio of clinical, observational, and translational research studies.

What You’ll Do – Major Responsibilities

• Provide statistical leadership and consultation for clinical, observational, and translational research studies.
\n
• Develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs), sample size calculations, power analyses, and analytic strategies aligned with study objectives.
\n
• Design and execute advanced statistical analyses using clinical, biomarker, neuroimaging, and real-world research datasets.
\n
• Apply appropriate statistical methodologies, including longitudinal, survival, multivariate, and mixed-effects analyses.
\n
• Collaborate with investigators, clinicians, and data scientists to address research questions and interpret study findings.
\n
• Advise investigators on statistical considerations for study design, grant applications, and manuscripts.
\n
• Contribute statistical expertise to publications, abstracts, scientific presentations, and grant submissions.
\n
• Ensure analyses are reproducible, well documented, and adhere to established quality and scientific standards.
\n
• Establish and promote statistical best practices across IND research initiatives.
\n
• Support and evaluate external statistical collaborations and outsourced biostatistical work, as appropriate.
\n
• Contribute to the advancement of IND's mission through innovative and scientifically rigorous analysis of neurodegenerative disease data.
\n

Qualifications / Requirements

\n
• Master's degree or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative discipline.
\n
• Minimum of five (5) years of biostatistics experience supporting clinical, biomedical, or translational research.
\n
• Demonstrated experience independently leading statistical analyses and advising investigators on study design and methodology.
\n
• Advanced proficiency with R, SAS, Python, or similar statistical programming tools.
\n
• Experience working with clinical, observational, longitudinal, and real-world datasets.
\n
• Experience contributing to peer-reviewed publications, scientific presentations, and grant-funded research.
\n
• Strong scientific communication skills with the ability to present complex statistical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
\n
• Ability to travel ~10%
\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n
• 8+ years of progressive biostatistics experience in academic medical centers, clinical research organizations (CROs), biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or research institute settings.
\n
• Experience serving as a statistical lead or primary biostatistics resource on clinical or translational research projects.
\n
• Experience with biomarker, neuroimaging, genomic, omics, or other high-dimensional biological datasets.
\n
• Experience supporting Parkinson's disease, neuroscience, neurology, or other neurodegenerative disease research.
\n

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

\n
• This position is 100% remote.
\n
• Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer are required.
\n
• Frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment.
\n
• Ability to communicate effectively through video conferencing, telephone, and electronic communication methods.
\n
• Periodic travel (<10%) may be required.
\n
