Pay Rate: $18.30 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, students, visitors, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or conditions and reporting observations according to site protocols.
• Monitor access points and activity across the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or disruptions to daily operations.
• Support campus-oriented operations by documenting incidents, preparing reports, and providing directions and assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
