Equipment Operator Glendale, AZ Full-Time / Hourly Compensation & Perks $1000 Annual Retention Bonus | Competitive Weekly Pay PEAKS Safety Program: Quarterly regional raffle: $1,000 prize/region Annual regional raffle: $5,000 prizes (4 winners) Annual Apex winner: $10,000 prize Position Summary The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of wastewater, septic, and used cooking oil (UCO) processing systems. This role supports daily facility operations, including receiving, processing, separation, and transfer of materials while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities * Operate facility equipment, including pumps, valves, DAF system, shaker screens, trommel, and transfer systems * Receive and offload incoming loads (septic, grease trap, UCO) following proper procedures * Monitor tank levels, flow rates, and system performance to prevent overflows or downtime * Adjust chemical dosing (lime, coagulant, polymer) to support proper treatment and separation * Manage sludge, FOG, and solids handling, including transfer to designated storage or disposal areas * Perform routine inspections of piping, hoses, and equipment to ensure proper function * Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S standards) to support safe operations * Complete daily logs, production tracking, and basic reporting (loads processed, issues, downtime) * Communicate operational issues, maintenance needs, and safety concerns to leadership * Offloading pallets from trucks and DE package pallets Safety & Compliance * Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations * Ensure proper handling and containment of waste streams and byproducts * Identify and report near misses, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately * Support compliance with local discharge permits and facility operating standards Qualifications * Experience operating industrial or processing equipment preferred (wastewater, oil, or similar) * Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues * Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, standing, outdoor conditions) * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs * Forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred Work Environment Industrial processing facility handling wastewater, septic, and organic waste streams. Exposure to odors, outdoor elements, and heavy equipment. Fast-paced, hands-on operational setting.
