Outside Sales Representative - Residential & Commercial HVAC

Position Summary

TNT Heating & Air is seeking an energetic Outside Sales Representative to drive growth through both residential replacement sales and commercial business development. This position is responsible for meeting with homeowners to provide HVAC system replacement solutions while also developing relationships with commercial property owners, business managers, contractors, and facility managers to generate new commercial service, maintenance agreement, replacement, and retrofit opportunities.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, prospecting for new business, networking within the community, and delivering customized HVAC solutions that meet each customer's needs. This position combines warm leads with self-generated opportunities and offers excellent earning potential for a motivated sales professional.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Commission + Benefits

Primary Responsibilities

• Meet with residential customers to provide HVAC replacement and comfort solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial customers, including property managers, business owners, contractors, and facility managers.
• Prospect for new commercial accounts through networking, referrals, cold calling, and community involvement.
• Generate new service agreements, replacement opportunities, retrofit projects, and indoor air quality solutions for commercial clients.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing residential and commercial customers.
• Prepare professional proposals and present solution-based recommendations.
• Follow up with prospects and maintain consistent communication throughout the sales process.
• Work closely with the service and installation departments to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Meet or exceed established sales goals and revenue targets.
• Maintain accurate customer records using company software and CRM tools.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Previous outside sales experience
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable generating new business through prospecting and networking
• Good computer skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Fast learner with a positive attitude
• Ability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays
• Desire to earn $100,000+ annually

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous HVAC sales experience
• Experience selling to both residential and commercial customers
• Existing relationships within the local business community
• Experience selling maintenance agreements or commercial service contracts
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
