Invoicing Operations Analyst

Job Summary The California Capital Finance team seeks an Invoicing Analyst to process invoices utilizing 3‑way match verification and approve payments for construction, permitting, and engineering activities. This role requires understanding of field construction terminology and basic financial concepts. You will become proficient with the rate card and its application for cost‑plus quoting, using strong communication and reporting skills to keep all levels of the business informed. As an independent contributor, you will validate invoices against work performed, analyze business performance, manage workloads, and provide financial data. Regular reports will be generated for senior management, regional management, and construction leadership to support business objectives. Hybrid work arrangement: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote in Livermore, CA, with occasional travel required. Responsibilities Maintain and update financial models and plans. Design and assist in creating financial reports. Provide trend reporting and ad‑hoc analysis. Perform additional business operations duties, as required. Coordinate changes to existing reports or required submissions for new reports across departments. Support the Finance department and Financial Analysts team, including data entry, distributing reports, and responding to departmental requests. Execute 3‑way match invoice reconciliation processes. Interpret color‑coded mapping systems. Master Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Strong accounting and finance knowledge, with experience in cash‑based accounting. Proficiency in invoice reconciliation and 3‑way match processes. Prior experience with P2 (Salesforce) a plus. Familiarity with construction practices and the cable industry preferred. Knowledge of Oracle Fusion is a strong asset. Proactive problem‑solving and ability to recommend effective solutions. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with AI tools and techniques for data analysis and decision‑making preferred. Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and define project scope. Strong relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders. Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational focus. Experience tracking and reporting critical business metrics, aligning with strategic goals. Continuous process improvement mindset. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to leverage Office 365. Analytical skills, including SQL, Tableau, Oracle Hyperion, Visio, and PowerPoint.
