Assistant Store Manager

Position Assistant Store Manager Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $16.00 - $22.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…) Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.) Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members remain current on their individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members. Ensure the telephone is answered in accordance with company policy. Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Handle retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and process or stage returned merchandise in the returns area correctly. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate and complete assigned Image Maker and merchandising tasks. Ensure all team members comply with company policies, including posted work schedule, obtaining approvals for deviations, and clocking in/out correctly. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying and securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired). Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
