Stock Assistant (PT)Monday – Friday (6:00 am to 11:00 am)Paid Vacation and Sick TimeMaintains walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms in safe, clean, and orderly condition. Monitors cost, quality, and inventory control and completes any other tasks as needed.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesCompletes paperwork such as menus and inventories to assist supervisorUses food production sheet to plan work duties dailyUses monthly menu to complete food ordersPuts away TCS/ perishable shipment in chill boxes to ensure correct temperatureProvides supervisor with suggestions on training topics for section leaders and staffMonitor compliance with health code regulations and health inspection reportsStocks prep room with supplies and foodMaintains stock, walk-ins, prep room, storage roomsMonitors costs and where to save money on waste, chemicals, paper goods, foodQuality and Inventory Control – oversight of staff removing food from the site, ensures that all food is put away at the end of the dayParticipates in planning menus, preparing and apportioning food, utilizing food surpluses and leftoversMeets with vendors to maintain stock and inventory, maintains an open line of communication with vendors to resolve quantity or quality control problemsEnsures that food is properly stored and accessible to the cooksOther duties may be assignedEducation/ExperienceMust have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMath AbilityAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100sComputer SkillsNo Computer skills neededPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
