Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, which include physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical history.
• Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging and laboratory results.
• Work in close collaboration with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for each patient.
• Provide essential intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and passing surgical instruments during procedures.
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which encompasses medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly desired.

Certifications

• Current and valid PA-C certification.
• BLS and ACLS certification necessary.
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant in Missouri.
