Experienced Dental Assistant

Dental Associates at Pitman | Pitman, NJ (Philadelphia Suburbs)

Dental Associates at Pitman is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our busy, fast-paced, privately owned practice in Pitman, New Jersey, just 15–20 minutes from Philadelphia.

Established in 1953, our multi-doctor practice has built a loyal and growing patient base through decades of exceptional patient care. We are looking for a Dental Assistant who is confident in a busy clinical environment, takes initiative, follows through, and takes genuine pride in their work and the success of the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dental Assistant who wants to be an integral part of a strong, established practice—not simply fill a position.

Compensation & Benefits

$25–$35/hour, depending on experience

Schedule

Full-Time Preferred | Part-Time Considered

• Minimum 24 hours per week
• Flexible, negotiable schedule
• Office Hours:
• • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid dental assisting experience and can confidently step into a busy practice
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Is a self-starter who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative
• Is dependable, organized, and takes ownership of their responsibilities
• Is accountable and follows through without needing constant direction
• Takes pride in their work and is committed to the success of the practice and patient experience
• Works well independently while also being a collaborative team player
• Is adaptable, efficient, and able to prioritize in a busy clinical setting
• Maintains a positive, professional attitude and genuinely enjoys working with patients and a dental team

Qualifications & Skills

• X-ray certification required
• CDA and/or RDA preferred
• Completion of a Dental Assistant program preferred
• Dental assisting experience strongly preferred
• Exceptional new graduates may be considered if they demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and excel in a busy environment
• Dentrix experience preferred
• Proficient with temporary procedures (temps) and chairside assisting
• Digital scanning experience
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
