Location: Avera Oahe Manor Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends (United States of America) Pay Range: $27.00 - $38.75 per hour (actual pay depends on experience) Position Highlights • May be eligible for up to $7,500 sign‑on bonus and $1,500 relocation bonus. • Variable shifts; 72 hours per 2 weeks. Overview Provides each resident with professional nursing care, assessment, and evaluations within your scope of practice. What You Will Do Perform all licensed practical nursing functions and services under the direction of a Registered Nurse for all residents. Complete resident assessments, develop appropriate interventions, apply nursing knowledge, prioritize care, and utilize the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate). Comply with all pharmaceutical policies and procedures, ensuring medications and treatments are delivered safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders. Administer medications using facility policy and proficiency in the Pyxis medication administration system. Participate in the care planning process and ensure that resident care is implemented consistently and appropriately for each age group. Initiate and update the plan of care as needed. Maintain standards of professional documentation. Communicate and manage the delivery of resident care, ensuring quality care is provided. Guide staff in meeting residents’ needs and practicing routines based on those needs. Participate in physician rounds, communicate changes in resident condition to physicians using the SBAR communication tool. Process and transcribe physician orders and implement them according to facility policy. Seek educational opportunities, share knowledge with others, and assist with orientation of new staff. Investigate incidents, patient or family complaints, and report immediately to the VP of Resident Care or on‑call Administrator. Facilitate conflict management while respecting diversity and individual strengths. Essential Qualifications Must be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function satisfactorily, including visual acuity adequate for duties and effective communication, hearing, and speech understanding. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Less than 1 year experience in long‑term care.
