Surgical Technologist
Job Summary: The surgical technician is responsible for the preparation of the operating room and instruments for assigned surgical cases.
Education: Required: High school diploma or GED required. Preferred: Clinical knowledge of sterile techniques and aseptics; ability to actively use this knowledge before and during the surgical procedure. One-two years scrubbing experience preferred.
Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward. Must obtain CST after qualifications have been met.
