Unit Staffing Description: Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNC), RNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs

Type of Equipment: Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, Vents, glucometer

Documentation System: Meditech Expanse

Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend, three 12 hours shifts

Floating Policy: May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED

Patient Experience Requirements: At least 2 years of ICU experience

Certifications Required: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS required, current NIH (must be certified annually)

Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set: CPap and BiPap management, Port access, therapeutic phlebotom

Must Have: 2 years ICU Experience

Advanced Skills Needed: Preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusion, ventilators

Procedures Performed on Unit: Telemetry monitoring, paracentesis (physician led), BiPap, therapeutic phlebotomy

Dress Code: (Required uniform) Navy or gray scrubs

The unit is home to several travelers who have continued to extend contracts due to our excellent teamwork and amazing staff. The unit is fully supported with a director and Manager, as well as a clinical educator. We have excellent interdisciplinary communication and collaboration with all providers.
