Industrial Maintenance MechanicLocation: Suffolk, VA Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM Pay: $30-$35/hour, based on experience Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a stable manufacturing operation in Suffolk, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong maintenance professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, equipment repair, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and repair industrial production and material handling equipmentPerform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and equipment repairsDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issuesTroubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment at the maintenance level, including faults, sensors, inputs/outputs, and equipment sequencesMaintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, pumps, cylinders, valves, and related componentsAssist with equipment installations, modifications, shutdowns, and improvement projectsIdentify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions to improve reliability and reduce downtimeFollow all safety, lockout/tagout, and maintenance proceduresWhat We're Looking ForStrong industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environmentExcellent mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systemsWorking knowledge of PLC-controlled equipmentAbility to read schematics, diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawingsExperience with hand tools, power tools, meters, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance toolsWelding or fabrication experience is a plusStrong safety mindset and ability to work independentlyThe position requires hands-on maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment and the ability to support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment reliability.
