Java Developer

Senior Java DeveloperGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.As part of an agile scrum team, the successful candidate will participate in the transformation and implementation of a critical feed processing system within the Compliance technology organization. This role will be responsible for driving the architecture and implementation of key program initiatives, working with users to refine requirements, and developing high-quality, scalable database systems.Responsibilities:Participate in the transformation and implementation of a critical feed processing systemDrive architecture and implementation of key program initiativesWork with users to refine requirements for high-quality and scalable database systemsDesign and develop solutions as a hands-on architect and developerFocus on process improvement and strategic thinkingRequirements:10+ years of application development experience with Java and Spring Framework10+ years of professional experience developing solutions on Oracle databases6+ years of API-based development experience with Spring Boot, SOAP, and REST Web Services6+ years of experience with job scheduling tools5-10 years of experience in a Unix environment and Shell scriptingStrong experience with Oracle database query performance optimizations, data warehousing, OLTP solutions, and PL/SQLReal-time application experience with MQ or similar technologyExperience with CI/CD pipeline setup and end-to-end automation for build and deploymentExperience with release management, branching strategies, and distributed source control systems such as GitAbility to apply architectural patterns and principles to achieve reusability, testability, scalability, and maintainabilityExperience and desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily stand-ups, etc)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsDesired skills:Experience with Oracle 12c/19cExperience with domain-driven design and distributed systemsRelevant industry experience in Compliance, Entity/Transaction Scanning, Banking, or Financial servicesFamiliarity with security vulnerabilities, SSO, and SAML-based user authenticationsFamiliarity with unit testing, testing methodology, JIRA, and infrastructure supportExperience with modeling tools and notationPay range: $ 58.26 - $66.26 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
