Job Title: Essentials Financial Analyst Company: Prologis A day in the life Prologis is seeking an ambitious Financial Analyst to help scale our platform. This is an exciting and challenging position that will support energy and mobility business lines; both are expected to grow significantly over the next several years. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various aspects of the finance process including performing analytics to guide business decisions and driving the forecast process. You will assist in establishing efficient process flows and work with management to build out and maintain key performance metrics reporting. We are looking for a self-starter who is versatile, can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and thinks critically. This position will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to gain exposure to numerous areas in finance, multiple departments, and advance their knowledge and skills. Key responsibilities include:
  • Support the forecast process by loading the sales, operating, and development forecasts, maintaining systems to ensure accuracy in hierarchy trees, and coordinating with accounting to reconcile systems monthly.
  • Maintain and roll forward monthly reports, including reporting packages for team leaders, Board slides, Quarterly Business Review slides, etc.
  • Coordinate with the execution team to review the development portfolio, analyze project-level analytics, including tax benefits and development portfolio performance. Assist in monthly meetings with leadership to build accurate forecasts for revenue, capex spend, and depreciation. Also, assist in the formation of reporting and process enhancements.
  • Analyze and prepare reporting on KPIs and track variances to the business plan and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly analytics and reporting, including but not limited to energy resale analysis, G&A analytics and trending, and operating expense analytics. Coordinate with asset management on project-level performance and assist with automating reporting where needed.
  • Assist in the business planning process and the long-term forecasting for all financial line items in the Energy P&L.
  • Facilitate various ad hoc reporting and analytics to support the growing Energy business
Building blocks for success Required:
  • 2 + years of financial analytics experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to identify and resolve common business issues, developing steps to improve processes, and implementing changes to ensure future success.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, non-traditional finance role a plus
  • Proven problem-solving abilities to analyze and solve complex issues.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple objectives while meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated knowledge of finance/accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to work with individuals across all functional areas and at different levels of the organization.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
Hiring Salary Range of: $69,000-$95,000.
