Job Title: RN / Clinic - Urology Clinic

Location: Elgin, IL Facility: AMG Elgin - 745 Fletcher Drive, Suite 301

Position Overview

This role involves supporting providers in a fast-paced urology clinic, delivering patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Candidates will work collaboratively rather than being assigned to a single provider.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience (RN)

• First-time travelers accepted

• Urology clinic experience preferred; general clinic experience accepted

• Certifications/Licensure: BLS required, Active Illinois nursing license (for RN candidates)

Patient Population & Volume

• Primarily adult patients (pediatric cases are rare)

• Common conditions include: UTI, kidney stones, overactive bladder, prostate and bladder cancer, catheter care (insertions, removals, exchanges), stent removals

• Daily patient volume: 45-70 patients

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties (RN Focus)

• Room patients and perform intake

• Administer injections (e.g., testosterone, Lupron)

• Prepare and assist in procedure room

Preferred Skills

• Bladder scanning

• Foley catheter insertion and removal

• Voiding trials

• Assisting with: in-office cystoscopy, vasectomy procedures, Botox injections

Support & Team Structure

• Collaboration with: RNs and Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), 2 regular providers, surgery schedulers, patient service representatives, referral coordinator

Technology & Equipment

• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

Orientation

• Paired with an experienced staff member

• Duration: 1-2 weeks, depending on comfort level

Scheduling & Logistics

• Repeating schedule

• RTO subject to manager approval

• Scrubs: Solid, professional colors only (no graphics/logos)

• Parking: Free (north side or far row adjacent to Fletcher Dr.)
