Start ASAP!

Location: Des Moines, IA
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Join the Arete team and take the next step in your career! We’re looking for a dependable and hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team and help ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to high standards.

️‍ What You’ll Do:

Prepare ingredients for cooking and meal service
Wash, cut, chop, and portion food according to recipes and standards
Assist cooks with daily kitchen preparation
Maintain a clean and organized prep area
Follow food safety and sanitation standards
Properly store and label food items

What We’re Looking For:

Reliable and hardworking
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Able to stand for extended periods
Able to follow recipes and food preparation instructions
Able to pass a background check
Previous prep cook or food service experience is a plus
