Preventive Maintenance Technician

Secure trucks on lifts and ramps Lubricate suspensions Perform oil changes Replace minor parts Perform tire and brake maintenance Occasionally road-test vehicles Use U-Haul’s proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist and technology to assess and care for field vehicles Provide assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervisor direction Attend Ford, GMC, and U-Haul technician training Requirements Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred Driver’s license Ability to work as part of a team and individually Basic mechanical aptitude Basic computer skills Regular attendance Ability to work safely and remain alert at all times Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship Must comply with applicable nicotine-user hiring restrictions in listed states Core Competencies Demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience, with the ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire and brake maintenance, and minor part replacements.
