If so, CHS Dakota Plains Ag has a great opportunity for you to join our team as a Seasonal Truck Driver in LaMoure or Litchville, NDJob Duration: Mid-September to Mid-NovemberSchedule: Monday - Saturday 7am - 7pmAs a Seasonal Truck Driver at CHS, you will be responsible for:Utilizing a CDL to haul fertilizer, grain, and chemicalsPerforming maintenance tasks on equipment and facilitiesLoading and unloading productWhat CHS offers:Overtime hours to maximize your take home payPotential opportunity to join our team full-time at the end of the season.Apply today to be a part of a diverse and dynamic team of 10,000 employees in 19 countries, working together to empower agriculture.ResponsibilitiesOperate a semi-tractor and trailer (or straight truck) to deliver non-hazardous materials to customer sites across complex or variable routes, ensuring safe and efficient executionDrive in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies, using sound judgment regarding route safety, road conditions, and compliance requirementsProvide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries; communicate clearly, resolve routine issues, and escalate non-routine concerns as appropriateConnect and disconnect trailers, and perform product transfer loading and unloading activities in accordance with safety protocolsComplete required delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports, and maintain accurate electronic logs and onboard computer entriesPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptlyReport accidents, incidents, near misses, and equipment issues; follow required procedures; and model strong safety and compliance behaviorsProvide informal guidance and support to Associate Drivers as needed regarding routes, equipment operation, and safety practicesShare operational knowledge and best practices to support team efficiency, safety, and customer satisfactionMinimum Qualifications (required)Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)Have a minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experienceMust meet age requirementAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishDemonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accuratelyAdditional QualificationsDemonstrate the ability to operate independently in a high-skill driving role, including managing complex routes or delivery requirementsDemonstrated safe-driving performance and ability to make sound safety decisions in changing weather and road conditionsStrong customer service skills and a history of positive customer feedbackAbility to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
